haha, today met up with elmo for lunch after her tuition in tampines block 201 and also to make sure she wasnt harassed. somemore its like relatively close to my house lor. LOL.
after the lunch, we had some discussion about going to the Esplanade there to see the fireworks and i volunteered to get the sandwiches ready for tonight 'pinic'. after sending her back home, went for some grocery shopping and head back home to rest for awhile before going out again to meet her.
well, upon reaching the cityhall, the traffic into the city link is so terrible that the SMRT staff were giving alternative route to the Esplanade through the PA System. And so i took her to the surface and planned to crossed the Raffles City and a few more roads to Esplanade.
as we move through the shops, i told that i used to work here somewhere in this building. and since we would pass through the one of the bar, i was thinking to pay a visit to the intro bar(ground floor beside Swisstol) and see whether my colleagues are around. surprisely there is! haha.
initially one my colleagues wasn't able to recognise me due to my dramatic changes(used to have long and thick hairs.. T.T) when i stared at them outside the glass wall. and so i decided to walk in and then she remembered. haha, her name is Jowen and she is good enough to treat both of us a drink!! WEEE! xie xie ni, Jowen!! haha.
i got elmo Lycheetini and myself Singapore Sling. yum yum! this can easily cost me 50bucks. why i noe? i have been working down there like 10mths++ le. note that the treat was very wrong! because of age thingy. =x. i shall keep mummy about it. haha!
when my purpose of visiting was just to catch up things with my colleagues, it turn out to be more then i bargain for, literally for the better i suppose? having our drinks while gluing our eyes to the flat screen lcd tv watching NDP. lol, its like so close yet so far feeling. moreover it started to rain cats and dogs. it will be inconvenient to move about.
after our drinks, we settle off to Marina Square. it was damn packed. especially towards the Esplanade. the stairs are totally covered by people. and so we make our detours after detours, hoping to see the fireworks but sadly we didnt get to see. we sure are exhausted for walking from MS to Milliena Walk, Milliena Walk to Singapore flyer and as we thought we could reach Esplanade from Singapore flyer, we were stop by the police as there is a road block. T.T
watching NDP has turned out to be disappointing as elmo didnt get to watch the fireworks as she hope for. lets wait for next year then!! haha. and so we returned back to her house there and had our 'pinic' in some dark corner surrounded by grasses.. lol.. so sad.. but memorable..
gosh, im teaching wrong stuffs to elmo!! LOL.
