[ 4.5 days of chalet.. ]
Saturday, 21 June 2008( 7:48 am )

though both of Soo Giap and i, knew we are going into the army on the same day and time. never did we thought that we will be in the same school, platoon and bunk mate. lol. what a luck.

we knew each other since secondary school. well its kinda good to have someone you knew in a new environment as you have your back watched.

well, tekong life for us is totally slackness and i think we have grown fatter when we first came to tekong. people will be puzzled why gain rather then losing weight? its simple, the food quantity is alot and the exercise was kept to the extreme minimum, let alone standing under the sun. all simply due to our PES status. some cant stand under the sun, some cant carry heavy loads and some cant walk properly. it's the first time i felt like a useless and utter handicap person. only to eat and sleep, sleep and eat. its total slackness. and even the commanders aint that strict to us. only to make us so ill-disciplined. some strolled down from the bunk while the rest has already fall in on the ground. while marching, some walk as though they are walking on the orchard road. it kinda disgrace me and others who march in unison when we pass by other platoons or canteen areas. everyone just watched and giggled.

from all the programmes like lectures, "admin time", watching videos, its the foot drills that interests me the most. we get to exercise, sweat and sun tanning. whop!

during the stay, not only my bunk mates and i have the desire to upgrade our PES status, simply because not us are as handicapped as the Army thinks or so we assume. well, the grass looks greener on the other side of the river. just as those PES A and B wants to cao keng to downgrade.

well, we are suppose to stay there till saturday morning but there was a change of plan, we get released on friday evening. song!

Soo Giap is assigned to the navy while mine is to the
